Outlook Express Tutorial

This tutorial will help you set message rules to control spam. I have put two examples together.

1. Click on the menu Tools ans select Message Rules and click on Mail.
See example below figure 1

2. The new mail rule dialog box will come up. There are four steps. For the example we will check the box in step one that says "where the message body contains specific words". Figure 2
step two check the box "delete it"
step three click on the contains specific words. Another dialog box appears. Figure 3
type the word Viagra, click the "add button", clcik O.K.
step four type the word Viagra, clcik O.K

You have now made your first mail rule. Which as you can tell we made this rule to delete any message with the word Viagra in it..

1. Click on the menu Tools and select Message Rules and click on block senders list.
see figure1

2.see figure 4. Here what you aregoing to do is add senders email address to a block list and that way whom ever is on the list there email will automatically be deleted.
Click the Add Button, a dialog box will appear, type the email address in the address line. Then put a check in the appropriate box. Click O.K.
